“I’ll be back.”

I would like to take this time to thank you bigtime on a job perfectly well done. I asked you to do a Bobtail, Snakeskin my front strap & to refinish my 1911. Parkerizing it and then GunKoting it. Plus I asked for something to be done out of the ordinary and you executed the odd task perfectly like it was an everyday chore…to Bobtail my LaserGrips. No one I called was comfortable with the idea. I had it done once before elsewhere & you beat thier job hands down BIGTIME. Not only do the LaserGrips look great, the job on the whole looks EXCELLENT. The bobtail conversion kicks ass a thousand ways. I asked you for a nice rounded Bobtail, you gave it to me just that way. Looks like an Ed Brown now or a Dan Wesson. Plus the SnakeSkin frontstrap is better than the other jobs I have had done(so does the bobtail) and the other Smiths were no beginners either, they were seasoned pros. You beat them, woah man. The finish is even & well packed on, nice and thick just like how I asked you for it. It was like this,I am a PICKY 1911 customer, I walk into a 1911 restaurant ready to order up my 1911 to be cooked up real nice exactly the way I want it and you as the waiter, chef, and manager saw it through to deliver the best 1911 I ever had. To sum it all in three words. I’ll be back. Thanks again!

“Attention to detail and then some.”

As one who practices personal security 24/7, I have formed a close bond with all my defense firearms. I am by design quite reluctant to surrender any one of them for someone to tinker with. David Nielson of South Ridge Arms and Refinishing has proven to be a professional in his own right who understands this relationship and it shows in the application of his craft.

I commissioned David to apply KG Gun Kote to my close-protection firearm and remain pleased of the decision to do so. From initial contact to follow-up after return shipment, his attention to finite detail and superb customer service has been second to none.

David has earned my respect as someone I can entrust with the care of my most coveted firearms. I harbor no reluctance to seek his services again, nor would I hesitate to recommend them to my extensive list of professional clients.

“I will not hesitate to have him work on another gun in the future.”

I had never had any custom work done on a firearm before I sent my badly worn Beretta 96F to Southridge Arms & Refinishing.  Dave worked with me on the colors I wanted and delivered my gun back to me on the date he promised it.  I could not be more happy.  The finish is top rate and the cost was
exactly what I was quoted.

I will not hesitate to have him work on another gun in the future.

“You are the exception to the rule in this industry.”

Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how impressed I am with the refinishing work that you have performed for so many of my customers. Without exception, every client has commented most favorably about your Gun-Kote process.

As I see it, the explanation is simple. You are the exception to the rule in this industry. You take personal pride and responsibility for each job that you complete, and I have sent you some very challenging tasks, such as that abused and rusted Lefever double barrel shotgun that had languished in the harsh coastal climates of Alaska.

Whether it has been a top of the line 1911 or a plain Jane economy Mossberg, you have approached each firearm with the same attention to detail, careful disassembly, precise preparation of all surfaces and the most uniform and pleasing final finish applications that I have seen from any provider in all my years in this business. Most critically, you don’t ruin a good refinishing job with sloppy reassembly procedures. Unlike most refinishers, you understand the value of a properly fitted screwdriver bit and the correct handling of non-marring punches and drifts. I have yet to catch you on the slightest oversight of the finished job cosmetic disciplines, right down to the cleaned and oiled interior and exterior surfaces.

You take pride in your work and it shows. If I were to sum up your capacities in one word, it would be CRAFTSMANSHIP. Very few have it, most don’t. You do!

“Your turn around time of just one week made all the difference.”

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I like my new finish on my pistol.  I have fired aprox. 600 rounds through it since you refinished it and there no visible wear on the gun anywhere. I shoot outside a lot and not having to worry about rust is very comforting.  When a guy thinks about spending a thousand dollars or more for a high end pistol it sure is nice to know that it will last virtually forever.  Thanks again for doing a wonderful job and getting it back to me so fast.  All the other refinishers needed my gun for at least eight weeks.  Your turn around time of just one week made all the difference.
